Sonoes Place

Most of the events are held in a place frozen in time. Imagine a time when Japan was meeting the west. The Japanese opened their arms to many western things. Things like fashion, food, architecture, art. The doctor of the last shogun of Japan built one such place over 100 years ago. It is a lovely old place with a real sense of style and culture. The design is one that matches European style of the time quite well.







The house is managed by a lovely lady called Sonoe-san. Her wish is to promote the house as a cultural centre that will attract foreign visitors that come to Japan. Her company is called Japan port and the house is called "Terminal Lounge".
